A bit about presave, Danish Top and gratitude...
Dear you
The time leading up to a release is always exciting - and really busy🌪
Today there are 2 weeks until my new album You Still Dream comes out and the butterflies have announced their arrival🦋
Because it's nerve-wracking to send a deeply personal work out into the world for others to hear and see, taste and enjoy. It takes a long time to create an album - You Still Dream I started working on at the end of 2024, and in January 2025 we had our first studio session - it's been in progress for almost 2 years. The songs are personal stories, created with a desire to create recognition and healing for those who listen. Everyone involved has given of themselves in the making of the music - it is a work created by people - for people👫
📲 PRESAVE album
And in 14 days it will be yours (and the rest of the world's). If you want to help the music out to as many AirPods, speakers and playlists as possible, you can now go in and presave the album here
To presave means that you as a listener give a streaming service (like Spotify or Apple Music) permission to automatically add an artist's new song or album to your library as soon as it's released. In addition to getting the music delivered directly on the day it comes out, you also help the artist behind it. Because when you presave you help create:
Better opening numbers: When the song is released, it's added to many fans' libraries right away. This gives a large number of plays on the first day.
Algorithm boost: The streaming services' algorithms register the high activity and think the song is going organically viral. This increases the chance that the song gets included on popular official playlists like Release Radar or Discover Weekly.
And remember you can also pre-order the album on vinyl HERE
🌙 You Still Dream on the Danish Top?
This week I got the lovely and unexpected surprise that You Still Dream was chosen as a test song for the Danish Top on P5. I didn't see that coming, but I take it as a fantastic opportunity to get my music out to many more people who don't know it yet. And here you can again make a difference for me and for the music🩵
You can vote You Still Dream into the Danish Top list✨
The program airs Saturday, October 31st at 12:15-14:00. During the program at 13:00 – 14:05 you as a listener can vote for your favorite candidate via SMS. You do it like this:
Send an SMS with the text DKTOP followed by the song's number (e.g. DKTOP 2).
Send the message to the number 1212.
Price: It costs 1 krone plus your regular SMS rate per vote.
If you listen in tomorrow (or follow along on my Instagram profile) you can see which number You Still Dream is. There are some pretty strong candidates in the running, but I believe we can do it together. Listen via DR LYD
🙏 THANK(FULNESS)
The last thing I want to share with you is a bit about gratitude💗
Especially in this period, where I'm doing my very best to tell the world about my new album, I'm extra grateful for everything I get in return.
It can be the news about the Danish Top or a sweet message on one of my Instagram posts or when a stranger curiously asks about my merch sewing project and ends up buying a ticket to the listening premiere (all 3 things are from my gratitude list this past week). Every day is filled with these moments, big and small. I collect them and actually I end each day by writing a gratitude list. Why? Because our brains and hearts need to be reminded of all the good that is around us. And because what we give attention to in our lives grows bigger, both for ourselves and in the world. So here comes my gratitude list for you:
1⃣ Each evening, before you go to bed, you write 3 things (or more) from the day that you're grateful for.
2⃣ It can be anything; the sun shining, a smile from a stranger, something that worked out, a fun experience. You can feel it in your heart.
3⃣ You can write in your journal or in your notes on your phone. Or just say it out loud to yourself.
Try it for a week and feel how the good grows, little by little.
It became a long letter - if you made it this far, then THANK YOU for reading along - and thank you for supporting the music.
Have a really good Friday🫶
Warmly, Trine.
